Company 57 was created in 2024.
My name is Elizabeth Naughton and I am the Founder and Director of Company 57. I honed my skills through three intensive years of Professional Training at Bodywork Company, specialising in Dance and Musical Theatre. I am a dedicated choreographer with a singular passion for nurturing young talent in the competitive dance world. I have many years of experience and a deep understanding of the art of movement. After three years of being immersed in the UK Dance Competition circuit, I have refined my craft and absorbed invaluable knowledge of what it takes to win. This new chapter is a moment I've been preparing for, a dream I've nurtured, and now, it's time to take the leap!
For as long as I can remember, my passion has always been with Dance. It's been a journey of dedication, hard work, commitment, and guided by the unwavering support of my Nan. She stood alongside me through every success, every failure, every moment of doubt, her belief in me never faltering.
I am embarking on this journey of creating my own Elite Competition Dance School with brimming determination and immense gratitude. For me, this isn't just a business venture; it's also a tribute to the woman who believed in me from the very beginning. Company 57 is a name that holds great significance, chosen to honour my Nan, whose support has been the core of my Dance journey.
For me, choreography is not just about winning competitions—it's about inspiring and empowering the next generation of dancers to shine on stage and beyond. As a mentor, I aim to deliver technical expertise but also instil confidence, discipline, and a love for the art of dance in to my students. I go above and beyond to create a supportive environment where young dancers can flourish and discover the joy of expressing themselves through movement.
Company 57 is not just a Competition School, it's a place for aspiring dancers, a place where dreams are nurtured, talents are developed and spirits are lifted. It aims to embody the values of dedication, resilience and passion - principles that have been instilled in me since childhood.
In my new role as Founder and Director of Company 57, I am carrying with me the lessons I have learned, the memories I have cherished and the promise I made to my Nan. With her support guiding me, I am confident that Company 57 will not only thrive but also become a source of inspiration for dancers everywhere, just as she has been for me.
